Three from FronteraFest

HPT is proud to present Three from FronteraFest, an evening of FronteraFest's greatest hits, with three quirky and funny audience and critical favorites from FronteraFest 1998, 2006, and 2008. "Humans," by Daniel MacIvor, features an all-star cast of local actresses telling a series of funny and moving stories about sheep, jealousy, love, hate, and humans. Directed by Ken Webster, it features Kelsey Kling, Rebecca Robinson, Margaret Hoard, Liz Fisher, Michelle Keffer, and Stacy Austin. The piece was first performed in Austin at the 1998 FronteraFest. "Larius Likler," a hit from last month's FronteraFest, is almost an anagram for serial killer. And so Larius Likler has decided to almost become one. An excerpt from a full-length comedy in progress by Aimée Gonzalez, the piece is directed by Jamison Driskill and features Michelle Keffer, Noah Neal, David Dubose, Michelle Brandt, and Kayla Martin. "Port Arthur," written and directed by Ken Webster, is the savagely funny story of two men with a shared past on a Greyhound bus headed to the land of Janis Joplin, Robert Rauschenberg, and Cotton Speyrer. It first played as part of FronteraFest 2006 and features Jamison Driskill and Noah Neal. Hyde Park Theatre is located at 511 W. 43rd Street. Covered off-street parking for the patrons of HPT is available in the lot at 4315 Guadalupe Street, just north of The Parlor. You can drive through The Parlor's parking lot to reach it.
